This research article examines the methodological legacy of Eugen von Böhm-Bawerk, a prominent 19th-century economist and Austrian pioneer best known for his contributions to economic theory, particularly regarding the interest of capital. Following a comprehensive review of his life and work, the aim is to summarize his contribution to economic methodology, largely encapsulated in his essay “Power or Economic Law,” which shares common theses with influential thinkers such as his mentor Carl Menger, and later figures like Ludwig von Mises, Friedrich A. Hayek, and even Karl Popper.
