In this research, the Embera-Katio cosmogony and the importance of translating the Bible into their vernacular language are analyzed. For this, its geographical location, its development in the last fifty years and the oral transmission of history in Colombia are analyzed. On the other hand, the cosmogonic story is mentioned, which allows us to understand some spiritual practices that are usually carried out. Finally, the influence that the Bible has had in challenging the thinking of scholars around removing the customs and beliefs of the Embera-Katio is analyzed.
