Composition is a fundamental discipline of musical art, the same one that has had an important development in recent years in music education in Ecuador, so it is necessary to use creative processes in the classroom that are based on mestizo rhythms Ecuadorians that serve to teach this discipline in a formal way. The teaching of academic composition in our country has been made from content belonging to a European historical-cultural context for the most part, therefore, considering that more than a century has elapsed since the study of music was formalized academic in the country and that currently has a considerable number of works created within the framework of our Ecuadorian cultural reality, we hope that the application of creative processes with a context specific to our region will become a contribution to the teaching of the composition, taking into account that to date there is no text that compiles and systematizes compositional resources aimed at showing us how to make use of these appropriately, so this work is intended to mark a starting point for the realization of future work for the teaching of composition in the Ecuador.
