Abstract

When a product has been returned to a company, whether it is a return within the warranty period or a product at the end of its useful life, the company has various ways of managing it with a view to recovering part of its value. Currently, the implementation of reverse logistics has been widely accepted by companies, since through this modality it is possible to identify the economic benefits it represents. By means of this article, it can be identified that by means of a good design and an improvement in the processes in the products that will be managed for their reuse, recovery and recycling or also in their elimination, the environmental impacts and operating costs will be minimized. The same way will be improved in the use of raw materials. Through this article we will highlight the importance of reverse logistics within industries as a sustainable process through methods that each organization can implement according to the market.
